Simple Installation Instructions:

Considerations for Flash Websites:

Having your video appearing where you want and when you want on your website has never been easier. For instance if you have a website with the content on the sides of your web page; you will be able to optionally put your video in the center of the page instead of the default location which is normally to the sides which could cover up your vital or relevant text, data, or information. The good thing about this feature, you will be able to reformat the video to fit you website without having to redesign your website to facilitate the video instead.

Just As the name suggests! Have your video loop (repeat) after it is played. So if you want to play your video and get your point across all you have to do is have a loop command attached to your video code. E.g. say u have a store or display window and a monitor/screen, you could have it looping repeatedly, over and over again. Imagine the implications when visitors or passerby’s stops by your site or on physical location, they (potential customers) will immediately see and possibly hear what you or your organization is all about. Most onlookers will be curious based on human nature and wouldn’t pass without seeing and wanting to hear what your video is about. Another E.g. would be for conventions. Instead of standing around all day and saying and answering the same questions, having to paying a spokesperson day after day and hour after hour: Your video would repeat it self in the exact same way. And because its pre-recorded, there won’t be much room for mistakes or otherwise.

1. This allows you to indefinitely loop your video. If this parameter is used in conjuction with freeze framing the video at the end with a freeze frame timer, the loop will begin after the freeze frame timer runs to 0.

This is perfect for people in a remote area where internet speeds aren’t so great or maybe facing hardware (computer) issues. E.g. a slow computer or even a cell phone where the speed isn’t as good as ADSL or cable. You don’t want your targeted audience to see your videos sputtering now, will you? For instance if your targeted audience is on a small island you would want to set your buffer rate (speed of which the video will start to play) to a higher number. This will allow the video to preload and then play smoothly even with an outdated pc.

1. This allows you to change the amount of preload you wish to happen before video playback begins. Values are 0 to 100. In this example 25 represents 25%.

At times you may want the video to silently load in the background without giving any indication that a video is about to appear. At other times you may want to show the user that a video is being loaded, especially if they have to click on a button to play the video. This variable changes the loading percent indicator from being fully visible to completely invisible depending on your needs.

Example 1. - This would be a good option for a website, individual or company that’s conducting surveys or some sort of Yes and no responses. You could use this option to collect users’ responses and saving data and information collected.

1. This setting tells the player to relocated the video to an absolute x, y location within the player mwidth, mheight dimensions. Note that this is not the x, y coordinate of the browser. This is useful if you manually set a stage that is larger than the video dimensions and wish to locate the video within those dimensions so as to appear perfectly within a background element.

E.g. If you don’t like the color, shape, appearances of your play buttons/bar, they can be customized to meet your needs. So if your website is green. We could make player & bar to compliment your color schemes. You can have your play bar when and where you want on a webpage/site. Have your play button arrive in on the location where u actually wanted it. Also have it disappear at a specific time.

If your video’s volume is too low or too loud for your environment, no worries! The video’s audio can be set at anytime to compliment your viewer attention. Say your targeted audience is an older mature, or younger your volume can be set. If you have back ground music also, you may want to adjust volume to accommodate and ballancing.

1. This sets the volume of the video being played. Values range from 1 to 100.
2. If this value is set to 0 a button will appear on the video that says "click for sound". If a users clicks it the video will restart at 100% volume. The coordinates of this button can be modified using the same bigplayx and bigplayy parameters that are used for the freeze frame play button. (i.e. v_bigplayx='0'; v_bigplayy='0';)

Like above mentioned about video volume: you may want to add your own background music or sound (e.g. nature sounds) from any location on the internet that you wish. You may also set the volume to compliment your video.

1. This refers to an external sound file you wish to play as the spokesperson is talking. This is basically background music for your video.
2. The volume is also set here and can be set from 1 to 100.

So, you have your video. But now you want a last minute background that you can change at anytime you wish. Or maybe you want another animation to play over the video that pops up buttons or flashing text. This option will accommodate just that. Your background or foreground image/animation will play all through the video.

Example - If your talent is talking about the beach, you can have an image of the beach in front or behind your talent/video and appear in place when and how u want it.

Example - If you want to popup buttons or other text around your video to reinforce the message.

When your video is finished playing you can have the option of freeze framing objects. This will compensate for users that didn’t make up their mind right away or want to replay video again immediately or in a few seconds. This will intern paint a mental picture for the users, almost like burning a visual image of the previously watched video into their memory.

1. This determines if your video will disappear from view when done, or will freeze when its done playing. This may be useful if you want the user to click on the spokesperson or replay with the big play button. Options are yes or just leave it blank.
2. This determines how long the video will stay frozen for before disappearing from view. If this variable is left blank the video will freeze indefinitely. 1000 is equal to 1 second.
3. This puts a big play button on the actor when they are done talking. This will allow a user to easily see that they can replay the video. This only works if you chose freezeonend above to yes. Options are yes or leave blank.

Play buttons are sometimes crucial for your videos. Just like your stereo equipment. How would u know about a specific function if you didn’t have a remote control? The play button is like your remote only you use your mouse to point and click for immediate response. The play button can be in any language u desire also. Some people would prefer having the video play at command or otherwise. Another key option is having your optional play button to appear on screen at an accurate time.

1. In milliseconds. If this parameter is present, your video will play as normal and pause after this number of milliseconds have passed, with a play button appearing on screen. This is useful for walk ons and short intros where the visitor will have to click on the actor to begin play after a brief hello. 1000 is equal to 1 second.

Yes makes it always visible, onend shows it when the video is done playing - Note that the freezeonend variable needs to be set to yes for this to work.

Remember when you where in college or you may still be, but the fact is, when you open your text book or journal and make important entries,  to study, some people will normally highlight key point, dates, topics, etc to remember and have a good reference point. This is just like that, but only in digital form. Highlighters are not just “cool and neat”, they serve a purpose. Have them appear at key moments and spots or sections of your webpage to compliment your videos and interact with users like never before. So if you have 20 lines on a website, a high lighter option can show your users where to click and where to read while your video is being demonstrated. Your users don’t have waste time looking all over the page for one specific object. They can be directed immediately.

You are allowed up to 5 highlighters per page. You may use one or more depending on your needs. Study the code provided below. The following code must be placed before your main video code.

• Cut and paste the code below just above your video playback code.
• Enable the highlighters you wish to use by changing the hx_enabled to a yes in any of the sections below.
• Add <span id="highlighter1"> </span> next to any element in your web page you wish to target and label the span tage as highlighter1, highlighter2, highlighter3, highlighter4 or highlighter5
• For example if you have a button you wish to highlight you may create a <span id="highlighter1"> </span> right next to the button, then enable h1 as 'yes' in the script below.
• For example if you have 2 buttons you wish to highlight you may create a <span id="highlighter1"> </span> right next to the first button, then create a <span id="highlighter2"> right next to the second button then enable h1 and h2 as 'yes'.
• The _x and _y refers to pixel offsets from the location of the highlighter base location. For instance you may shift the highlighter 100 pixels to the right of the <span> you created above by making h1_x=100. You may use positive or negative values to shift the location around
• The hx_wait variable is how long the program will wait once the actor starts talking, before displaying the highlighter. 1000 = 1second
• The hx_stay variable is how long you want the highlighter to stay on the screen before disappearing. 1000 = 1 second.
• Special note: The highlighters are set to run only when the video plays, so all timings are based upon playback of your video.
